Your comfort comes first
Safety built into every connection
Zambian Dates gives you verification, reporting, blocking and privacy controls so you decide who can reach you and how much you share.
These tools reduce risk, but no dating app can promise you another person’s intentions. Use them alongside normal caution, especially around money, personal documents, private photos and first meetings.
Selfie verification
Zambian Dates offers selfie verification. A verification badge shows that a profile completed a selfie check. It is a trust signal, not proof of anyone’s intentions, and because verification is optional, not every profile is verified.
- You can choose to verify your own profile from the app.
- Treat a badge as one piece of information among many, not a reason to skip normal caution.
- Verification submissions and the related review notes are handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Photos and statuses are checked
Photos and statuses are checked automatically when you upload them. Most are approved straight away, some are refused outright, and anything the check flags is held for the moderation team to look at by hand.
- Automatic checks run at upload, not days later.
- Flagged uploads go to a person for review rather than being decided by the check alone.
- You can report a photo or a status you see, and the report is attached to that exact item.
Reporting and blocking
If someone makes you uncomfortable you can block them to stop contact, and report them so the moderation team can review the account. A report can carry the specific message, image or status as evidence, so the team sees what you saw.
- Report reasons include a fake profile or scam, inappropriate photos or messages, harassment or abusive behaviour, an underage user, hate speech or discrimination, spam or advertising, and offline safety concerns.
- Blocking stops further contact from that account.
- Accounts you have blocked can be reviewed and managed in the app’s settings.
- You can add details in your own words when the reason list does not cover it.
Who can reach you
You do not have to be open to everyone. Someone you have not matched with sends a message request, and you decide whether to accept or decline it. Requests that go unanswered expire on their own after seven days.
Privacy and visibility controls
You can step back without losing your account. Pausing hides your profile and stops you browsing new profiles, and you can resume whenever you want.
- Pause your account to hide your profile, then resume when you are ready.
- Incognito browsing lets you browse and message privately for 24 hours at a time, using credits you earn in the app.
- Manage which notifications you receive.
Location and distance
Distance is calculated on our servers and shown as a distance, not as a pin, an address or a public map. A numeric distance is only shown when both members have usable GPS locations, and the home city you select is kept separately from any current discovery location.
- You can enable, refresh or turn off GPS in the app’s location settings.
- Zambian Dates does not publish a live public map of members.
- The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what location data is kept and for how long.
You must be 18 or over
You must be at least 18 years old to use Zambian Dates. Sexual content involving minors and any solicitation of minors are prohibited and are grounds for removal.
If you believe an account belongs to someone under 18, report it and choose “Underage user” so it is routed as a child-safety concern.
Pausing or deleting your account
Pausing hides your profile and is reversible at any time. Deleting is permanent, but not instant: while deletion is scheduled your account is hidden, and you can cancel it from the Account section before the displayed deadline. If you do not cancel, an automated process completes the deletion.
What we cannot promise
We cannot guarantee that another person is honest about who they are or what they want. Verification, automatic checks, moderation, reporting and blocking make the platform harder to abuse; they do not make it impossible. If a conversation involves money, secrecy, urgency or pressure, treat that as the warning sign it usually is.
